2000 & one: get down (len faki remixes)

Figure 86 finds the label's headmaster Len Faki revisiting a dormant classic from 2005, delivering two extended excursions. The "Hardspace Mix", a sparse and bone dry rhythmic affair, is built around the originals characteristic cut-up vocal sample. A hammering thump carries along the track relentlessly, the air of oppression created only amplified by a heavy assault of clanging claps. On the flip, Faki gently develops the "Deepspace Mix" into a meandering meditative journey. He trades the vocal for a spaced-out synth which opens the track up so the shifting tribal drums can truly work their magic.
