Factory Benelux presents a special vinyl edition of Live In Berlin, the debut album by frenetic post-punk outfit Blurt, originally issued in 1981. Just 500 copies of this limited edition will be pressed. In order to accommodate all 8 tracks this remastered version of Live In Berlin also includes a bonus 45 rpm 7” single. Sleevenotes by Wire editor Chris Bohn perfect this highly collectible package. Fronted by charismatic Ted Milton, Blurt formed in 1979 and worked initially with Factory Records, contributing to A Factory Quartet in 1980 and playing at many Factory package dates. Live In Berlin, a blistering live set taped at the Berlin Free University on 13th December 1980, was scheduled for release as a 10” album on Factory Benelux (FBN 5) the following year. However, after Blurt parted company with Factory the set appeared as a regular 12” album on Armageddon. “All-purpose chaos. It's brilliant! Where can you go when you're that far gone?" (NME, April 1980); 'Captures brilliantly what Blurt are all about, all the rough and tumble and rough tumble spilling gloriously out of the speakers with ten times the energy and attack of a studio album' (Melody Maker, April 1981); "A chaotic brand of funk from a funny farm" (Sounds, August 1980)
