Characteristically very slow, Hatakeyama's music is composed by repeatedly processing guitars, pianos, & vibraphones on a laptop. The result is a mix of droning chords & sparse single instruments rising above the mix. His music may be classified as either post-ambient experimental music or new-age music. "You're Still In It" was recorded in Japan during the rainy season & shows the gentlest side of Chihei.
