EarToGround Records 3rd consecutive vinyl only release, once again features as a limited pressing on high quality black wax and is likely to be seen by techno purists as ready to go dj ammunition for a variety of dance floors, as each track & remix carries its own identity. Aptly titled the ‘Kommand EP’ after it’s strikingly powerful A Side, ETG002 see’s the return of resident label artists and firmly rooted crew members, ‘Chris Stanford & Dax J’ after their well respected debut e.p ‘Programm’ on ETG001. The hard-hitting rumble of Kommand, is traditionally industrial with a memorable hypnotic lead. Which during its journey falls into a misty pad of resembling a dark chamber. The ‘Demented Drums remix of the title song comes from the mysterious duo ‘AnD’. Hailing from Manchester in the North of England their destructive pounding distortive bass rides sweetly on it’s driving broken beats, shortly after it’s filtered intro, a chiming of well crafted cowbells join forces with a re-arranged version of the mind teasing lead of the original track. On the flipside EarToGround label boss, Gareth Wild makes his own much-anticipated, debut release for the collection. His original piece ‘Get Raw’ gives this vinyl a different face and another purpose. Taking things deeper but nevertheless, this is for the dance floor, a swelling synth bass line that sucks you into the groove immediately on its entrance. Swooping, ever changing sci-fi effects and haunting calls always drawing interest over a rock steady pace of simplistically pleasing drums. Get Raw sees a connoisseur rework from somebody who probably needs little introduction, Samuli Kemppi of Helsinki, Finland. A master of deep techno and he certainly does that title justice with the slugging piece of percussive perfection that climbs throughout. A series of subtle drops into chugging analogue bass, with complementary use of recycled and transformed parts of the original by Gareth.
