After 2014's set of acclaimed releases on L.I.E.S., Crème Organization, and Rush Hour, Jorge Velez comes to Skudge White to drop a proper dose of relentless subterranean techno. On "Les Méandres," factory rhythms carry a sinister, echoed call-and-response synth pattern. "Blue Bottle" brings volcanic, hissing synths to an intense peak over hammering rhythms. "Tunnel," Velez says, is the sound of "the most intense moment on the floor when it's just a blur of all sounds and lights and the pound of the drums." "Hydrocution" delivers a hypnotic, metallic combination of rhythm and dissonant synths. Original artwork by Pauline Gouablin.
