lxv: asylum/theophany

Producer David Sutton has been working under the moniker LXV for several years, & in that time has issued a steady stream of genre-scrambling missives. The most recent of these, "Sirens", marked his first collaboration with Tim Hecker confidant Kara-Lis Coverdale & garnered praise & features from The Wire, FACT, among others. "Asylum/Theophany" is his heady follow-up solo dose. The album serves as a meditation on Chapel Perilous, an occult term that concerns confusion surrounding supernatural experiences in the physical world.
