“Doepfer Worm consists of collages from recordings I made during my first encounter and experiments with synthesizers. I was loaned a Doepfer Dark Energy, and then I spent a week at the synth-filled WORM studio in Rotterdam. Not having a clue about how these things work, I wanted to hear what would happen if I went in there unprepared. A process of trial and error ensued: flipping switches, pressing buttons and patching cables. It was a lot of fun. Whilst editing the material for this CD I tried to main- tain the roughness and playfulness of the original recordings, to preserve an element of surprise and chance.
