roe deers: rush

Roe Deers is a Lithuanian-based audio-visual project led by Liudas and Oskaras. Their Rush EP is an impressive debut built around metallic percussion hits, chugging post-punk attitude, tipsy textures and the sound of broken cuckoo clocks. "Rush" is a throbbing dance-floor excursion blessed with an otherworldly atmosphere. It's the musical equivalent of finding a wormhole round the back of a sprawling industrial estate, and then stepping inside to have a look around - easing out the EP's post-punk and industrial elements, adding a heady air of horror-influenced late night mysticism.
