second skin: sense of purpose

Spanish producers Psyk and Oscar Mulero come together as Second Skin here for a debut outing on James Ruskin's legendary Blueprint. Between them, they have amassed fine discographies that have helped to define modern techno for the last decade. They show off their range here with hearty kick drums and rattling loops on 'Bare Hands' that will fill any warehouse with techno tension. 'Sense Of Purpose' is deeper and more atmospheric for the small hours and 'Reformed Theology' then gets busy with manic synths and oversize hi-hats all bringing the tension. It's back to mind-melting and hypnotic space tech territory on the closer 'No Escape' which rounds off a superb EP.
