volkan akin: outcry

Unreleased Ltd. label keeps up the fine early standards it set with a new two tracker from Volkan Akin. Infinity is a supple rhythm with heavenly pads – or are they choral vocals? – up top. All manner of textures and FX add detail to this most alluring of grooves as it unfolds over 12 glorious minutes. It’s an emotive journey with exquisite sound design.  Next up is Outcry, which has a more loose and languid rhythm as the bass loops down low and the jittery percussion keeps you locked. Again the synth craft is beautifully serene and all manner of details occupy the mind.   These are two artful and irresistible minimal cuts.
