emika: drei remixes

Remixes of two tracks from prolific electronica polymath Emika's 2015 album DREI (Ibiza Spotlight Album of the Week; "a fascinating album" --Rolling Stone). UK techno legends The Black Dog's "Battles" rework is all brooding pads, electro glitchery, and stomping breakbeats; Kamikaze Space Programme's version is more dramatic still. Leading off four remixes of "What's the Cure," CNCPT (Brenda, Natch Records) delivers dubbed-out, reverb-heavy techno. German Clone and Bunker affiliate The Exaltics offers an atmospheric electro rework with a thick, rubbery bassline. Borai (Tasteful Nudes) and Emika provide a stripped-back, heavily-swung, stomping take before Eomac's stunning string-laden interpretation.
