Porest unveils original music and recordings from the covert sector of his archives. Culled from shortwave and FM broadcasts, these selections are said to be intercepted via "prepared radio" - one finely tuned to receive what is known in certain circles as parallel broadcasting. Content explores the trauma of emerging global consciousness, acute cultural antipology, and the urgent placement of democratic music today. Recorded in January and February of 2016, with contributions from Paul Staufenbiel (Aavikko) and Michael Darr. Features radio dramas, brutal sound collage, pop music interludes, and a shocking exposé on CIA punk group: Down With Culture. Originally created for Optimized! (on WFMU), which featured three days of programming curated by Vicki Bennett (People Like Us), comprising ten hours of new and exclusive recordings, radio and video by 26 participants. Side B features Porest's early radio archaeological release: Radio Between the Lines (and Before the EU) recorded and assembled 1997-1999. Full-length cassette comes pressed on a baby blue cassette in a full-color sleeve.
