With an excellent run in 2016 with releases from artists such as Kölsch (KOM EX093EP), Danny Daze, or Patrice Bäumel, Kompakt's much-acclaimed Speicher series presents the first entry of 2017, with Reinhard Voigt and Terranova. Voigt follows up his Kontraste EP with a deliciously raspy and hypnotic remix of Terranova's "Labrador" from their last album Restless - meanwhile, the Terranova crew returns the favor with a bouncy, twitchy rework of Voigt's "Husky". Both cuts share a love for meaty dancefloor minimalism that knows how to throw a punch.
