News of a new release from Berlin's Rising Sun is always a welcome bit of news. Here the eternal post-rave dreamer lands on Reality Used To Be A Friend Of Mine with a lovely white 12". As always it is filled with his airy breakbeats, dusty drum designs and lush ambient synths. The opening track is a melancholic number for getting lost in thought, then the energy picks up as the drums tumble at a great pace on 'Give Me Love' and elsewhere the likes of 'Rewind' zone you out and 'Yours' brings a little garage shuffle end syncopation to the EP. 'First Touch (Scraps Of Poetry 606 Reduce)' is deep and escapist minimal.
